There's no picture but all 4 standoffs finally are working with the 25mm long bolts. I started to work on getting the standoffs lined up to work with the engine and then discovered I need to take some material off of the lower standoffs with the way the crankcase is assembled on the motor. That is for tomorrow or another time...

I ground down the standoffs so there is no more binding when putting the bottom bolts in on the engine side. Thankfully the standoffs also did not turn when I pulled the engine so I might work on cutting the cowl next. After that will probably be setting up the throttle and choke before I go back to working on the tail.

I also got the TV mount down from the attic and got that installed so the TV I have out there is off of the floor and more out of the way. Next steps there are to find a shelf to put a BluRay/DVD player on and hopefully a DirecTV box if we make the switch once an alternate internet provider installs fiber in out area.

Back to work on the Mamba. I decided the best thing was to adjust a linkage that seemed like the arm was 90 degrees to the servo and then level out that aileron. It worked pretty good on the first try and I measured the right upper aileron at the same length as the one from the left I adjusted.

I'm going to adjust the other ailerons to this length and then get into the AURA to adjust the center points and then the end points to where everything matches. I'll also take a look at the elevator since it slightly lower to a nose down type input rather than neutral.

Life has gotten a little crazy for a short bit. Ten days ago I finally wrapped up the transducer bracket for my kayak. I managed to find the correct pin and it's working like a charm.

Tonight I just buckled down and got the adjustements to the ailerons on the Mamba 60E wrapped up. I'm going to see if I can adjust the elevator trim in the Aura because the linkage seems like it is the appropriate length but I'm still getting down elevator due to how the servo arm fits on the servo.

After that I'm going to try and locate the piece of wood I used to use to hold my EF Edge in the back of my truck with and see what modifications I need to use it with the Mamba so the plane doesn't get damaged in travel. I'm hoping to maiden the Mamba this coming Saturday.

I checked the programming on the ESC last night and everything was per the default settings so I'm going to say it is probably OK to at least maiden. If something seems off, I can always adjust.

Tonight I tried hooking up the Aura to an older computer I have that runs on Windows 7, but the USB ports on it have trouble connecting. This has always been an issue and why I bought the bluetooth modules for the MSH Brain units when I had the helis.

I'll give it another go tomorrow night. It always seemed like if I just waited until the next day that I could get the USB ports on my older laptop to work.

I had forgotten how bad USB ports can be. I had to install the driver for the Aura multiple times and then I was finally able to connect to it. After a quick adjustment, the elevator is about at neutral.

Poor weather for flying and I really wanted to get on the white bass run, so today was a fishing day. I finally can say I've caught a white bass on a fly rod now too and it was using a fly I tied.

I put the Mamba back together Monday night and just didn't have time left to post this. I wasn't feeling well yesterday so I didn't get it done yesterday as well.

I checked the control surfaces and everything looks good there too.

I'm going to recheck the CG and hopefully the weather with cooperate for the maiden flight this weekend.

Now that the middle of the workshop is open, it's time to do some cleaning up and organizing before I get back on the Raven.

The workshop is mostly cleaned up so I was able to get the Raven back on the workbench yesterday and tonight I put the engine back on.

I'm going to work on getting the engine cowling lined up and installed but first I'm going to start cutting out for the engine.

I decided to check to see how much for the cylinder head I would actually need to open up and I'm glad i did because all I need is for the spark plug cap.

Of course I'll have to open up more of the cowling due to the muffler and to allow hot air to exit.
