Nice work on the canopy! My nose itches just thinking about balsa dust. :)

A canopy latch has been ordered from F3AUnlimited. I also ordered some axles so I have spares for the DeJaVu too and to make efficient use of money spent on shipping.

I finally broke out the sanding disc and took care of the CA over run. The disc made easier than expected work of it. I'll have to fill in around where it was and I will reinforce the opposite side with some fiberglass cloth on both sides anyways so I'm not worried about strength. The weight increase will be minimal.

I also broke out the palm sander and worked on the sanding for the chin cowl. I still need to work on it some more but I'll break out the filler first to help smooth it.

I'm also thinking of getting a Short Course Truck but it will be a while before I pull the trigger unless I sell something. I also want to get a replacement foamy and there are a couple options from Twisted Hobbys I'm looking at. I'll probably just wait and ask for the airframe for fathers day.

I've naturally been busy with work as usual and trying to get trials planted before rains hopefully come. It's been really dry down south with some other things delaying our planting unfortunately.

Also Coronavirus has thrown a wrench into things and made me focus on what's really important. If we get into a Shelter in Place situation, the Cadence is going to be getting some work done to it a lot faster than it is now. I will work on it when I have time until we finish planting. I'm also taking a look at what I'm actually missing flying and I almost bought another Twisted Hobbys foamy since while I really enjoy the helis, I don't enjoy the maintenance and I look forward to good weather for practicing pattern and having some fun with a foamy.

The Synergy 516 is up for sale. It occured to me that since I'm not actively acquiring spare parts because I don't feel like spending the money that maybe it's time to sell it.

Since we are stuck at home, and since construction has halted in the new development next door, I now have a ready made flying field right next door. As such, I've dusted off the DLG (needs some repairs) and actually flew a pack in the Blade 300 yesterday. Shockingly, I still remember how to fly helis.

Nice!

If I get another helicopter, it's going to be something similar to that 300X. Plastic blades, cheap frames, I.E. crashable.

I had hoped to be working on the Cadence but we've been busy with work to try and get things planted and de-populate the office to help keep people safe from COVID 19.

Well I am parting out the Synergy 516. I have the cyclic servos and ESC sold. I also discovered shipping through Paypal. The rates are good and I don't have to go to a UPS store which helps to lower my chances of getting COVID 19.

I'm not panicking but I am trying to be extra cautious.

Everything of the Synergy 516 is sold except for the motor and the tail servo. I feel a bit free being out of helis at this time and I may end up enjoying this for some time.

I had to make an order to Amain to get some replacement screws for the 516 that I seem to be missing 1 of. I also ordered some balsa filler, which should be a lot better than the traditional stuff I have been using, and a bottle of foam safe CA to try to repair the Byp Yak and get a few more flights out of it at least.

I had looked at getting another Twisted Hobbys airframe to build once it gets too hot to really spend time in the garage but I figured why when I have my Skeeter 40 to finish. Other than sanding I can do most of the work in the comfort of the inside of the house so that's my plan. I might go ahead and buy a battery for it to have on hand.

I had wanted to work on the Cadence today but I just couldn't find the time again. My desire is to plan out where to put the elevator servos so I can get the servo wire channels cut and then glue on the skins for the horizontal stab/elevators. That will be my goal for the next few nights at least.
