I've never been able to figure out how the Deans connector became so popular. It's just.... terrible! :confused:
I'm using the XT30s on the small stuff, and I did use the XT90's on the big helis for a while (can't remember which ones). They are pretty good connectors.

I think some of the reasons listed here had something to do with it. To me the XT connectors are easier to disconnect.

Of course I'm not sure how much it's going to matter if we have a 400 ft. altitude limit. Pattern would go away and I guess people would continue to fly smaller planes and helicopters. I think the only thing that will remain unchanged are multirotors.

In my opinion if there is not a club that is big in to multirotors and not flying on property owned by city with a cheap lease, a lot of clubs might just disappear.

Well I put the Extreme Flight Edge for sale in a couple places. The main reason is I have been wanting to build another pattern plane and I'd like to use it to fund that project. I don't fly it much and I don't have as much time to fly as I used to. What time I spend at the field, I need to spend working on the pattern sequences.

And a part of this is also the FAA Reauthorization but I've thought about selling it before. That being said it's a 3D type plane and could stay under 400 feet and be a lot of fun but with the pending legislation, I'd rather be rid of it anyways.

I would like to apologize to anyone offended by the post I made last night. The point was to poke fun at the 2018 FAA Reauthorization where the FAA seems to becoming the rule maker instead of the AMA using a character and the adaptation of a famous line from the movie 'Captain Phillips'. It was never my intention to offend anyone and I am truely sorry if I did.

Well it seems my Edge is sold.

I hate to sell it but I want to focus on pattern and helis and also take up fly fishing and tying flies. I don't have time for everything so I'm going to take a break from Giant Scale for now so I can spend time working on other things.

Well I went out to the field this afternoon to practice. I am still trying to adjust my throttle curve where I want/need it.

Kind of tired from not sleeping the last two nights so I didn't fly very well.

I'm going to try something I used to do to get ready for a game when I played hockey and so I have a play list going in to my iPod and I dug out the ear buds from my phone.
