This is pretty cool. I wish it could do more than 5.51" on the Z axis.

Why would you need more than 5.5" on the Z axis Alan?

Especially on a small machine like that

Just wishful thinking to have an all-in-one machine for CNC routing and 3D printing.

The owner of http://www.dwfoamies.com/ and http://www.tornadoframes.com/ has been working on a similar combo printer/CNC cutter. I know very little about it, but it looks to be a really cool machine.

Those both look cool. I heard about the stepcraft on the 3d printing today show ( good name huh) and seriously considered it.

After having a 3D printer for a couple weeks now I think I prefer to have separate machines. Kind of like having two chargers.
