This came across my YouTube feed today. Interesting!

So the question is: Would this be a worthwhile thing to buy as an intro to 3D printing?

Well the build volume is only 80 x 80 x 80mm and it will only print PLA, but at that price I'd say it's definitely a good introduction.

I've seen this one advertised on my FB feed and wondered if it would be worthy of being my entry-level printer:

It's only a Kickstarter at the moment, but the current buy-in price is $349, the printer handles ABS and PLA, and it'll do 6"x6"x6" printing.
