RCTS Fun Fly

June 1st

1524 CR 112
Caldwell, TX 77836

30.4838, -96.7856

Day & Night flying
Night flying will consist on 2 construction light towers on the left side of the field as well as a huge area on the right side to fly with lights on your aircraft.

We will begin the day with 3 flying slots per hour. We can alter this if we need to once we see our heli to plane ratio.
Helicopters (0-20min) / 3D Planes (20 min-40min) / then scale, jets, pattern & sport planes (40min-60min)

There will be a $20 entry fee that will include bottled water throughout the day and lunch.

You must be a current AMA member to fly.

The field has a grass runway, so keep that in mind with the planes you bring.

There will be generators provided to anyone that needs power. So a couple of tables will be there for charging stations. Please bring a generator if you have one.

There will be a designated area for items you wish to sell. Please mark them with price and you cell #.

There is some beautiful shade trees there, but bring shade if you can.

There is room for a few RVs if someone does wish to bring one and stay the night. Keep in mind it may be further down the flight line and has no hook ups.

Let me know of any ideas you have or things we could improve on from last year. Chris is recommending water girls to make sure we don't dehydrate. :face

This year I will have plenty of time to make a sign that shows which session it is. That was one issue we had last year. I will also try to make signs that show the flight stations for the heli pilots. We had some last year standing between cones and some standing at the cones.

I will also have a couple of ice chests with water just in case some don't bring drinks.

Going to be fun. I skipped a local event in San Antonio last year for this and it was totally worth it. Brought my big planes and had a blast. This year should be a great event!!!

2x light towers are a ton of fun to be able to fly all night long, but seemed most people left before it got to crazy. Really need to see who all would want to get crazy. I vote for the 2X light towers myself.

At least you aren't the only one I know that got screwed by something coming unscrewed. :rolling

You handled it well. I was proud of that you right after the crash you grabbed your Mini P and went right back out there and flew. Very smart!

Now you have the pressure on at our event because we've been bragging on you.

Dang, this sounds like a ton of fun. I wish I lived 2 hours away instead of 12.
