In this episode: Chris and Bobby talk with Andi from Soko Heli Tools, who tells us what makes their setup toolkit unique. No Ten Minute Tip this week, but we'll get back to that next time. Tune in!

So....

What happened to the Logo?

I remember a power fail related crash (or something along those lines), are you thinking of selling it or not fixing it?

Oh, it's already fixed Ben. There was very little damage, just some cosmetic issues on the canopy. I'm thinking of selling my entire fleet, actually, and starting fresh.... :thinking

I'm still trying to figure out what the helical would buy you vs. rubber-banding the electronic level to the top of the grip, as I do with the RC Logger level; that's assuming the grip has a flat top. It might be worth having a more precise electronic level, but the requirement to make the main shaft perfectly vertical seemingly creates more problems than the tool solves for me. Maybe it's just not suited to my setup method (hex driver through the blade holes to set zero pitch, zip tie around the main shaft to level the swash, neither of which require the main shaft to be vertical).

Chris,

If you were to start "over", what machines interest you?

Rick

PS I love the TRex 800 DFC. So easy to fly. So easy to see. Yes, I can see it. :rolling

Ah, that's the $20,000 question!

I don't have much (zero, actually) interest in anything as big as the 800. My favorite heli size at the moment is the 550, so I may just consolidate and have only that size for a while.

Planes...? I'll always have some sort of glider and/or powered glider. Beyond that, I just don't know. :thinking
