Thanks guys. It's weird how losing parents affects your whole attitude and outlook on things. I may eventually return to the hobby with the passion I had before, but then again I may not.

So is a UAS registration card an indication that you're not getting out of the hobby?

I haven't started selling stuff, or anything like that. I just don't have much desire to go flying right now is all. I'm sure the doldrums will pass, but I'm also now going to be busy getting a house ready to sell so I won't be doing much flying anyway.

Chris,
When I take the plane on tour, I'll swing by. We'll bomb around the Texas sky.

My condolences to you and Liz, Chris. Your family has had a rough go of it, very sorry.

Lost both my parents in the span of four years. With no siblings and not having a very close family, aside from my wife, I definitely understand the doldrums. I quit the hobby and wasn't going to look back after dad died. Just didn't seem important.

As time passed I returned. No, it's not the same, nothing ever is after a loss. But I still enjoy it, just on a different level. Maybe you will too.

Sorry to hear about Liz's mom.

18 years elapsed between my dad's death and my mom's, so Mom's death was probably easier for me to take than if they had died within a short time of each other. Plus, I was living 450 miles away when she died.

Thanks for the condolences, guys. It helps, believe it not!

I got out and did some DLG flying today. It felt good. :)

Hey Jon! I can't say everything is normal yet, but we're hanging in there.

Wow, that thing really gets off the ground quickly! Looks like fun. :)
