That's true. My skills are not there yet but I've been looking into it and it turns out there are techniques you can do with a good dslr and basically scan in an object. So that might help. We will have to see. Might be an idea for down the road to try. But if you have to do the sanding you might as well pull a mold so you can do more than one.

I've seen folks laser cut plywood cases for Taranis and T9X with angled gimbals.
They also somehow fit a FPV screen on it.

BTW, when Bobby was slugging it out on the road, here's what I was up to:

It's freakin' cold here! I miss San Diego.

That's a neat idea and a good reason to have a second radio

With something like this coming out, I would have a big problem dropping $800 right now on a tx: http://www.frsky-rc.com/product/pro.php?pro_id=144

Yep, the Horus is on my radar. Unfortunately, it's all vaporware right now with no real idea of what it will look like or whether it'll use OpenTX. BTW, rumored price is in the $500 range, so not quite the bargain the Taranis is.

Yeah, I hear what you are saying. However, most of the rumors I have heard about it make it sound as though they are going after the Jeti; which if that is the case does make it a bargain?

Good call though, until there is anything official (their own page says the features listed are subject to change) it's hard to use it as part of a decision.

I still think it's hard to ignore...if it does anything to change the market like the Taranis has, it will be big.

Specifications indicate it can run Open Tx.

I'm interested. But we all remember how long it took to get the Taranis ready for sale.

Wow... that might help my 3D printing skills

Anyone read the book Deamon by Daniel Suarez?
