I just started listening this morning. We've missed you, Bobby, not just on the show but at IRCHA as well. Including Shannon, we had nine Team DT USA members there. You would have made an even 10. I think we were one of the larger contingencies in attendance.

CORRECTION: We had 11 team members in attendance.

Definitely! You would have fit right in. I didn't think Shannon could be much crazier than on the forums, but I was wrong. :)

I think the issue with a Z foam 3D plane will be weight and rigidity. The Yak 54 is not the same as a 48" class balsa plane, and scaling up to 70" size probably pushes what the structure can take and stay rigid enough. Also the weight has to be up there. My 2 6s 5000 planes, a Velox and a 330SC are in the 9-9.75 pound range, and performace is excellent. Not sure what weight you are looking at with that big of a foamy.

They would probably work on a 6s 4000, 6X" plane first I would think.

Yeah, you're probably right about that. It's really difficult to beat a balsa plane for strength-to-weight ratio!

Glad to be back guys. Really appreciate all of the kind comments I've been receiving since I had to take a step back.

I haven't had a opportunity to listen to Dan's comments on RCHN yet. When I met the guys last year we hit it off immediately. Although it was a very short time, I felt like a life long friendship had begun. I have it on my list to listen and catch up when I can.

Missing IRCHA really sucked. Next year I'll be there and hope to drag Chris and Ben along. Would have been great to hang out with the DT team. How fun will it be when we get the DT & MSH teams side by side for constant harassment? :woohoo

DT and MSH were right next to each other this year. I didn't talk to the Italian guys much, but the US guys were great...even Alex. :)
