That's just cheating.

Cool. I tried it with a friend's AS3Xtra and didn't realize the gains in hover mode made it impossible to fly normally, so when I went to harrier around the living room it went nuts and destroyed his wife's flowers. Luckily the flowers were pretty old and they even wound up inviting me back.

That is identical to my experience. To be honest I haven't exactly figured out their flight modes yet. I skimmed through the book & downloaded their file for the DX8. Just need to figure out what switch it is and exactly what it does.

Gyro gain in 3D planes is tricky business. With my ET guardian I've tuned it so I can hands off hover but still harrier around at slow speed or even do waterfalls, etc. But I need to flip a switch to go faster.

Doesn't sound like HH gives you full gain tuning control with these "modes".

I've decided to pass on the AS3Xtra and stick with my crack yak mini. Maybe I'll put an ETG on that.

On my to-do list is to get the Taranis to sense airspeed and automatically change gain modes.

I'm digging how your boys know the space to stand when dad is flying in the house, AWESOME!!!!! My 3 year old knows to run and sit on the love seat or the micro quads won't take off.

That is greatness. ;o)
My boys are amazing. They know where to stand and how to handle the micro quads. I haven't let them hold the Xtra yet. They are bummed about that. I was flying the CTB in my back yard the other day and they were trying to chase it. At first I was having fun with that until my safety processor kicked in. :face Jeez, they know better and I know better. Just so fun at the time. Luckily my boys are good enough though when I told them it wasn't safe and to come stand behind me they immediately did so.
