I was at a training class all last week and missed out on Force Friday. Apparently there are 3 cool new RC Star Wars toys:

http://youtu.be/OpdIsSNGt7cIt looks like it is EPO foam with a transparent canard and uses 2-channel control (throttle and differential rudder) with two small fans in the lower two engine nacelles. Some part of me wanted this to be so much better, and I have to keep reminding myself of the difference between the mainstream toys and the hobby-grade stuff that most of us fly with.
Apparently Youtuber AJW61185 thought the X-Wing deserved a proper upgrade, and modded it up with dual motors/props, elevons, and differential rudder. By doing so, made me think that this toy might actually be worth it:
