Hi Chris.
What software/ tools do you use to measure headspeeds?
Thanks

Bert, I have the Heli Headspeed app on my Android devices:

When I'm on a computer, I use the technique shown in this video to estimate headspeed:

Hi Chris. I picked up a TRex600E DFC Pro that I want to use for a scale huey. I also want to run 2 x 4000 Mah packs in parallel as a 6S setup for low head speeds and longer flight times.
The Align 600MX 510 KV motor wont run on 6S so now looking at swapping it out for a QUANTUM 4120/1200 Kv.
Will it fit in the TRex and will the shaft be long enough?
Thanks

Hmm... I'm afraid that is well outside my area of expertise having never owned an Align 600 heli. :(
I'd bet the shaft will be long enough on the Quantum, it's quite long, but I don't know if the diameter will fit in the Trex frame or whether the bolt spacing is right.

For field use, I use the Sky Tach - available from several sources. About $85, reasonably accurate.
