DLG's are sooo addicting! I flew them all weekend in a regional contest. Jun, the guy from the video, was there too! We had guys from California, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho, and Wyoming. I can't say enough about getting out to a local or not so local contest. You will learn more in one or two days time then you would in a year on your own. Everyone I've met so far has been very helpful and willing to teach, even help with all those tricky mixes that you need.

We also had a 1/2 time show put on by Andrew Jesky (not typical of these events, but wow!)

Wow, AJ puts on a heck of a show!
Looks like you had a great event, I wish I could have made it out there. Maybe next year!

I enjoyed watching your DLG flying on the "alternate flightline" at SRC yesterday, Chris. Now I will know what you're talking about when you discuss DLGs on the show.

Thanks Alan! It's not all that exciting to watch, really, but it's fun to do. :)

You're not watching the right guy's then :p , the guy's who can launch 200'+ are exciting to watch. It's probably more exciting to those who fly them though, as it gives us something to shoot for.

I flew with one of the guys at lunch today in some floaty conditions, I launch in the 120~150' range. He was launching to 170' easily with a Steigeisen. Those molded planes sure do launch!

You really don't want me trying it, not yet anyway. Let me get some powered flight under my belt and then I'll consider it.

Here is my first brand spankin' new DLG. I won it in the Team USA F3K raffle drawing... in July

I took receipt of it on Monday 11/7  , yes the wait list is that long to get one. Many thanks to SoaringUSA for their prize donations.
