Beautiful! I just wish it wasn't necessary to have the vertical fin configured with equal area above and below the boom. I understand the aerodynamic reasons, I just find it aesthetically offensive. :face:

Why is this the case? Full scale gliders that I've seen don't seam to have such a large verticle stabilizer/rudder area.

Its because it's a dlg the pressure on the rudder needs to be pretty much uniform otherwise you will get roll on launch

If full scale gliders were launched by throwing them from a wingtip I bet you'd see the same design cues. :lol:

i still need to find out how accurate it is, but i installed an OpenAltimeter with g-sensor into my plane this weekend, i ended up seeing a few spikes of around 30g's on launch

If you go to the rcgroups thread pm traian for pricing and when he plans on making them available. I know the last group built plane should be done mid August and he will be going into customer planes after that. I believe the price point is going to be somewhere around $1000 per airframe though.
