Met a member of the Houston Hawks Sailplane club today. He had a rough landing and snapped fuse of his new Orion sailplane. The fuselage is in 2 pieces and the break is pretty clean. The material looked like fiberglass. How hard would it be to repair the damage?

Pete, that would be easy to repair to an acceptable structural integrity level, but not so easy to make it as beautiful as it was before.

Paul Naton sent this link to a person in Southern California that does building and repair work. I passed the link on to the pilot with the broken fuselage.

Well the Orion is repaired. The owner did the work himself and it is flying well.

Nice! Would have been a shame to trash it.
