Well its finally happened i have placed the order for the first production run of frames and spares.
Man this project took longer than i anticipated!
I have limited frames available so will be sold on a first come first serve basis, if your interested in buying a frame please mention it in this thread AND send me a PM.
I will not accept any payments until i have the frames in hand and ready to ship. I expect to receive them in approximately 10 days from now.
Both version of the frame will come with the rubber isolation mounts for the upper frame, m3 nylon bolts and metal nuts plus a couple spares, tie wraps for mounting the motors.
The frames do NOT come with landing gear, they are designed to use Blade 300x landing gear (shown in the pictures) but you could use anything that you feel will work for you.
I have a few sets of Blade 300x landing gear i can offer for sale but only a couple. Please ask in PM if you would like a set for your frame.
The Tricopter Frame will come with the wooden pieces needed for mounting the tail motor to the servo horn, you will need to glue it together and sand to shape then drill for you particular servo horn.(not shown in photos) I will start a build thread in the near future detailing how this can be done. Its easier than it sounds.
Both frames will be able to run upto 6 inch props without issues.
Both frames use the same upper electronics frame and can accept ALMOST any flight controller. My favorites are the small foot print ones such as the Flip 1.5, CC3D, Naze32 etc but a big ol KK2.xx will also fit, just. I doubt the latest APM will fit due to its rectangular shape.
Please note that the frames are designed for sport FPV flying as opposed to full on crazy racing type stuff. They are pretty durable. I have crash tested from about 40-60 foot into grass without damage but they will not be as strong as some of the FPV racing frames built from carbon fiber with aluminium standoffs. But the again these frames are no where near the same price either.
Not to say that you cant use them for racing though!!
I will be racing mine for sure at the RCTS even in November!!
The upper plat of the frame has been designed to accept a Mobius action camera for recording your flights. Although this has yet to be tested as i don't own one....yet....

spare arms and spare complete upper frames will be available for all frames plus some optional arms for the Mini Vtail to convert it to a more traditional quad layout. (See pics below)

Here are the option arms that will allow you to convert the Mini Vtail to a traditional quad layout.
The motor mounts can accept a variety of ways to mount your motors. My preferred method is to use the x mount with zip ties but you can also screw the motor direct to the arm.
The bolt hole pattern will accept either motors with bolt spacing's at 12x16mm (normally 2mm bolts) and 16x19mm (normally 3mm bolts) if i remember correctly!
Here its shown with Sunnysky 2204 2300kv motors installed with x mount and zip ties but you can clearly see how you would bolt the motors on if you so desired.
