Thanks mate.

Did you spray it all in one go, or built up and glued sub assembly's and then sprayed before bolting it all together?

Sorry fella missed this. Yes I laid all the parts out and sprayed them. Just one coat each side.

Then assembly.

I am torn between CC3D and something MultiWii based. I will most likely start with a Flip 1.5, since I have allot more time on Multiwii than CC3D. That way I can be fair in my "assessment" of how it flies. Once I get a solid baseline, then I will swap in a CC3D and see how that goes. I (briefly) toyed with the though of APM mini, since we have had good luck with APM tricopters, but that's just overkill for a "fun" machine..

I have flown with it, Ben, but not extensively. IMHO, it feels tighter, but keep in mind I am also using the 32bit ESC's with it, in closed loop mode, so I am sure that affects the feel as well.

Having said that, it's snappy, and the yaw feel is amazing. I really need to pick up a couple more Naze32's ans swap the around my fleet.

Yeah start with a multiwii, try out the CC3D on something your very familiar with as it's a different beast to tune.

I got a package from Houston today! Fast shipping, Ben!

After unpacking everything, I gotta say I am even more excited to get this thing going. It looks to be very well thought out, which I expected based on photos but am now able to confirm now that I have it in front of me.

The first thing I need to do is decide if i am going to paint it, and if so, if I am going to do a "Rat Rod" theme like I first thought about...
