This one is for Chris:

In a recent show you mentioned some kind of tape or something that can be applied to one surface that will stop the contacting surface from sliding around.

Do you remember what I'm talking about? I need to keep a G10 battery tray from sliding when I strap it down. it resta on another piece of G10. It actually seems to stay in place fine when cinched down now, but I'd hate to find out the hard way that it is not good enough! :-)

Thanks in advance.

Bill

Bill, it's the stuff you can buy to line shelves or toolbox trays with! Like this:

The dollar store has thinner stuff for kitchen drawers and such, but I use the thicker (1/8") stuff.

You can see it on the tray area in this picture of the Raptor:

I have been using this product for the last couple of years and just love it.

Cool, that's like the stuff that grips cell phones on your dash, right? Looks like that's just the ticket right there.
