Longtime listener first time poster. I bought a NCpX on a whim and got hooked on hellis. Then I went to a 130x and loved them even more. I'm stripping tail gears without crashing and feel I'm maxing out the capabilities of the machine. Do you think 450 or 550 is the next step? Followed your comments on the 450 should I wait for the new rev or buy current ver and add helical main?

Ircha: if I arrive at ircha on fri would there be camping avalible so late? I don't plan on flying but it's a 4 hour drive.

Love the show, thanks,
Chris

There is plenty of room to camp at IRCHA even then. The place is huge! Look for the RC Today Show canopy and come introduce yourself.

Let everyone chime in. I vote for a DT520 with an iKon. That self level feature on the iKon inspires confidence.

These days the 520/550 is the new 450. Especially in the case of the DT520, it won't cost much more to put one together than a good 450, and crash costs won't be a lot more either. And it will fly SO much better!

Welcome to the forums, btw. 8-)

I concur - dt520 with an icon has pushed my learning immensely - have nothing but good things to say about that combo.

Jdanks,

Email me as soon as possible and I can work it out. I would have to ship it out by Tuesday as I'm packing to leave first thing Wednesday.

Thanks

Thanks for the info, as if I wasn't looking forward to IRCHA enough. I'll definitely say hi and probably ask 100 more questions.
