Well I duplicated your brown out issue. It is a current draw issue that is depleting the iKon's cap. Just run the cap.

And I burned up one of my Savox 1257tg servos while doing the testing. :face

Do not run high amperage servos at low voltages. The amperage is just too much.

That is interesting

I was certain that you were not going to be able to replicate the problems

Sounds like additional capacitor's is a worth while investment when you're running big servos on an Ikon.

thanks for sharing

It's got to be related to the Ikon's 3.3v bus for Spektrum. It must require a relatively high voltage like the Bavarian Demon's, which will shut down the satellites at 5v (IIRC). I don't see the issue with Heti and Frsky with identical servos because I'm not using that bus.

Have you tried different Satellites?

I'm wondering if your satellite's are over sensitive or drawing too much current?

He's tried different satellites. Same issue.

Well

He has obviously found one of the very few Kinks in the Ikon's Armor.

At least we are aware of it now..

Next time I will do brushless servos. Going to try to fly it tomorrow. Tyler is going to be there for supervision.

I have spektrum sats + CC BEC Pro + iKon + Align DS615's at 6.0V on two different helis (Goblin 630 and Gaui X5) and I've never had a brownout.

Going to make sure I run a cap and an ultra-guard in the future but I wonder why I haven't seen the problem?

When I say low voltage, I'm meaning low enough to brownout the sats. This shouldn't happen with normal use.

Tyler did 4 flights on it the other day. Next time out I will finally get to fly it. The auto level is all dialed in to my liking
