Hi,
If I understand correctly, you guys have some sort of connection with HobbyWing. Can you possibly relay my question to them? I emailed them but received no answer in a week.
I've got an old HW Program Box and sure I can't program my new V3 ESC with it. It says "update firmware please". But I can't update firmware in the box either. I installed latest USB Link software from hobbywing.com, v3.42. I can change ESC parameters and update ESC firmware within USB Link software through Program Box but I can't update firmware in the box itself. When I switch connection in the software to Program Box, green connection circle lights up, I press on "firmware" icon on the left pane, but all fields like current version etc. stay empty.

Here is what I got...

This is Sam. It is odd that the user was not able to update the firmware of the LCD box.
One think I can think of, which should not be a problem is that a kind of LCD program box he has. If he has a formal program box, " 2 in 1 LCD professional program box", it may have a gritch. we recommend to upgrade it to the latest LCD program box. this program has a bigger memories and many features were improved.

Hi Bobby,
Thanks for your help. I think I found the cause of my problem. My program box has Turnigy label on it. I thought it was the same as Hobbywing because I was able to program original Hobbywing ESCs with it as well as Turnigy K-Force ESC. In fact it seems it has different firmware than original HW program box and cannot be updated. I've found that reading old support thread on Hobbyking site, where I bought my box. Hobbyking has dropped support for that box.
I emailed support@hobbywing.com but they never answered.
