I bought a 104" Slick from 3DHobbyshop! I was so excited I went and picked it up from the local hub instead of waiting for delivery on Monday. You had Cody on the show a few weeks ago and he really has been a help with getting all of the information I need on the build. He has a great how-to on multiple servo setup and was the deciding factor in getting a DA120! I also ordered the Seacraft Wire Tensioner. Dave from DA also had a great post on why DA engines cost more on Flying Giants.

The 104 Slick is a fun airplane. Great roll rate, super easy harriers, awesome tumbles and pop-tops. Very light and a great match for the 120.

Word to the wise: Unless you are running 450 oz-in servos like Savox 2270's or Futaba BLS-157's, use three on each aileron. I was flying a friend's with two 7955's and pushed it a little too hard:

Enjoy!

Dang, Cody... I've never seen anyone let the magic fire out of a servo before! That's a special talent right there.

I am running 2 Savox 1270s on each aileron with 1.5" arms. I have thought about adding another servo to put less strain on the other two. Do you think it is worth it? I like to fly 3D and am starting to get into IMAC as well. I tend to be hard on servos but am no where near the your level of flying. I have the 71" Slick so if this is anything like it I am going to be very happy.

Bobby or Chris really need to get a giant scale plane. All that talk with Tim from Redwing about bigger is better was the deciding factor in pulling the trigger on this plane. Do it for the listeners!

Thanks,
David

The Savox 1270 has almost 100 oz-in more torque than the 7955's so I think you will be fine with two.

David, I can't go much bigger than a 30cc, or possibly 50cc, due to transportation and storage issues! :face

Cody, I have done the same thing with my 104" Slick. I had 7955TGs on the ailerons and stripped servo gears and burned out another one. I didn't have it explode and burn up like in the picture (I know whos plane that is :D ) BLS157's for sure now. DA120 Yep Your doing it perfectly right TMR Get a Falcon 29x9 and its the perfect setup!!
