Torque tubes for the 180cfx are back in stock. I ordered some from Horizon and a microheli torque tube with 2 bearings and the aluminum fittings from http://www.helipartsdirect.com. Both orders were on backorder for about 3 weeks. Both orders came in Saturday.

Let us know what you think of the Microheli ones.

I was able to get in one flight this evening with the 180cfx and the microheli torque tube. It went together well with no issues when I reassembled the tail section. The aluminum fittings are machined very nicely. The flight was smooth but I am not sure the second bearing made a noticeable difference. I did notice the Blade torque tube bearing is a sealed bearing and the microheli bearings don't have shielding.

Hope to burn a few more batteries on Saturday.

The next thing to do is to repair my original torque tube with one of the spare aluminum fittings I ordered.

Only did a short hover under the street light, but it seems to fly. :)

Ordering one of these today: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blade-180-CFX-B ... 6979?rt=nc

I didn't get to fly mine this weekend. My charging setup was down for reconfiguration, so all I had charged were my three DT520 packs (still charged from the RCTS FF) and a couple of 3S 1300 packs that I used for my Splinter-V maiden.

I saw where there's a firmware update to fix the tail twitch that some people are experiencing. It requires purchase of an AS3X programming adapter.

Yep, I think mine has the twitch, so I'll need to pick up one of those adapters soon.
