Maybe this weekend! All that's left to do is get the ailerons hooked up, but I'm having issues with servo centering using the EEPE file linked earlier in this thread. All is fine using a centering tool, but when connected to the RX they go wonky.

I may have to cut into the covering and move the horns over a spline. :(

That covering looks so much better than the description on the show!

Good work on the build. Looks like it's going to give you many years of service, no matter how rough you play with it.

Thanks Karl! It really did turn out nice. And check out the similar scheme another builder did. It looks better than mine:

It flies! :bacon

My AUW is currently at 340g, including 18g of nose weight (just taped on like a wart on the nose for now). This may change a little, as my X6R receiver is apparently bad (no range). However, I don't see it changing much. Not sure where my extra 20g is over others, but honestly it doesn't bother me. Why?

It flies GREAT! Even having range issues and not having much time to trim, I caught a thermal on the third wimpy throw and could have sky'd out had it not been for the Taranis screaming at me about low RSSI.

So this evening I'll be fitting the X4R receiver and doing some tweaks to the elevator trim, then hopefully I'll get some more flying in tomorrow. :woohoo

Thanks! It really did turn out well. Now I just need to get the RX swapped out and do some more flying!

I guess it's only missing one thing... .avi, .wmv, .mov, .mp4 ...

haha, it looks great, and glad to hear the low RSSI didn't turn out differently!
