I'm going to keep flying the 14SG for at least the rest of this year so I went ahead and ordered a new battery for it. Shipping was $10 and some change which is irksome to a degree, but it is lithium chemistry.

I went ahead and purchased a 2S 2550 Pulse pack yesterday for the receiver in the Raven as well. That should be pretty much everything I need to get it finished now.

My new transmitter pack arrived and I did an initial full charge on it per the instructions before discharging it a little. I also got some more APP connectors to use with the Raven receiver battery.

Today my rod rack for the ceiling showed up so I got it installed and I'm looking forward to having that stuff out of the way.

Hole/slot for choke and throttle pushrods marked and cut. I also got some thinned epoxy onto the carbon fiber and wood to seal them.

I was finally able to maiden the Mamba 60E today. I had Jeff Pfiffer look over everything real quick and apparently some Flex manuals suggest flying in Mode 1 and others in Mode 2 :)

Anyways I guess I need to look into unlocking expert mode and also changing some of the throws. Even on low rates/Modes 1 and 2, the roll rate was really fast.

There was a club meeting this morning so I loaded up the sons along with the Mamba 60E and I got 3 more flights on it.

Before heading out I made some changes to the rates in the Aura and I'll make some more minor changes. The winds were calm so I had a chance to work on the trims and I'll need to redo the quick trim settings. Not hard to do though.

The most amazing thing about the club meeting was the number of people attending and that brought something to fly.

After another slight adjustment to the rates, I am pretty happy with everything and I got 3 more flights this afternoon. Next step may be to go ahead and unlock Expert Mode.

I started on the servo mount for the throttle in the AJ Raven a few weeks ago and finally had the time to finish it up today.

I'm using a thin piece of light ply and there are some thicker pieces on the back side for the servo screws to bite in to. Since 3 of the 4 edges have contact with the frame for the fuselage, I didn't do any other reinforcement. I'm currently waiting on the 30 minute epoxy to cure.

Well, maybe I will be giving RadioMaster another try. They have made some changes to the TX16S with the Mark II version and are addressing the gimbal temperature sensitivity issue.
